I study language in autism. The question that drives my research is: what is the nature of language development, language knowledge, and language processing in low-verbal autistic individuals, and what can this tell us about language in the mind?

I am a doctoral candidate in Developmental Psychology at the University of Connecticut, advised by Letty Naigles. I have an MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College and a BA in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Pomona College. I synthesize perspectives from each of these fields in my work.

I am also a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP), and I worked as an SLP at two residential autism schools in the northeast before starting my PhD.
